September 10th, 2006 today was a good surf day. This morning, we got barreled with Dylan Mayer in the water snapping shots of the sick surfing going down. Then in the afternoon Golden, Jaimal, Jorma, Zach and I met down at the harbor for a surf. Crying Bryan has some fans, as you can see, when he's addressed on the sign. He managed to get a clip though. I hate showing
up to places with a bunch of people in my car but today I couldn't help
it. At least the spot I mobbed was down the street from my house and
half the people in my car were not surfing. Melissa came along for a
sun tan, Scotty g is still a gimp and Paul was behind the camera. Although
I did have Golden and Jeremiah Depesa with me, Miah does have an extremely
messed up ankle! Once we were out in the water, fellow SRH
Team rider, Jorma Beckstrom, showed up. It was my first time surfing
with him and I was definitely impressed. He was surfing very fast and
smooth... two things I love to see!! Sean Murphy, Miah and Scotty G
were all out surfing but didn’t get any clips. When there is 1 camera
man to film 7 surfers, some of the waves get missed, in part or entirely.
Especially when, half of the time, we are splitting waves. As usual,
Zach was on fire and Paul got most of, if not all of, his good waves.
